An Auxiliary Gen Set with a 500 KVA Alternator (Considered a Standby Generator for a) Port Entry and b) when alongside the Wharf if no Shore Power supply is available, and c) as a Backup Generator should the Main Engine Shaft Alternator fail at sea. ( The Deutz engine was rebuilt in the November 2017 new classing).
The Main Engine has a Shaft Generator driven from the Gearbox, this is an 1100 KVA Alternator that drives all of the electrical systems onboard.
Both Alternators output is 440 Volt Three Phase and 240 Volt Single Phase.
The vessel Hydraulic system is Electric Motors driving Hydraulic Pumps.
