Description

‘Kajsa’ is a 30 square metre racing yacht built in Sweden in 1936. She was designed by Lage Eklund, and built by Eriksson, and carries sail no M30.
Her construction is carvel, and the rig is Bermudan.
Her current owner has given her an extensive re-construction, including the following:
- New keel bolts
- New planking where required
- New stainless steel frames
- New bent timbers, where required
- New rigging
- Mast and boom stripped and re-varnished
- New mainsail - 2018 (Suffolk Sails)
- New blade jib - 2022 (Suffolk Sails)
- New S1 Spinnaker - 2018 (Suffolk Sails)
- New Code Zero - 2022 (hardly used since purchase)
- Inside stripped and re-painted
- New battery and solar panel

She comes on a purpose built Harbeck trailer in excellent condition.

Since the re-construction ‘Kajsa’ has had very good success on the racing circuit, including:

- 1st BCYC Class 3 (2021)
- 5th BCYC Class 4 (2022)
- A number of successes at the Aldeburgh Yacht Club Regatta
