Our clients have the following 2 x Gardner 8L3XB marine engines for sale. They were bought to be installed in one of their vessels and they are now surplus to requirements. The engines are stored in a warehouse in Fiji and would be able to be shipped worldwide in a container. The have had electric start plus counter rotating gearboxes added. Please indicate interest and we can guide you on price. These engines were used primarily for marine use, both commercial vessels and private yachts, and some locomotives. These two engines were rebuilt is Suva.
Since the rebuild they have not been operated or installed in a ship.
They do not have an engine hour meter.
They would both fit inside a twenty-foot shipping container.

This outstanding eight-cylinder 24.138 litre engine offers the greatest degree of efficiency, durability and refinement. The specific fuel consumption rate of the engine when directly coupled to the dynamometer is the remarkably low value of 0.328 lb./per b.h.p./hour which represents an overall thermal efficiency of over 40%. It is extremely smooth and quiet in operation throughout the whole range from low idle speed of 250PRM up to maximum power output.
